नोट'demonstrare' एक लैटिन शब्द है जिसका अर्थ है - स्पष्ट रूप से दिखाना।

This और These
'This' एकवचन है, और इसलिए इसका उपयोग उस एकवचन (singular) वस्तु/व्यक्ति के लिए किया जाता है जो करीब है।
'These' बहुवचन (plural) है और पास स्थित एक से अधिक वस्तु/व्यक्ति के लिए प्रयोग किया जाता है।

That और Those

This/These बनाम That/Those
अवधारणा 1
this/these किसी ऐसी चीज़ को संदर्भित करते हैं जो करीब है, और that/those किसी ऐसी चीज़ को संदर्भित करते हैं जो दूर है।
This is more colourful than that.
अवधारणा 2
जब हम दो चीजों का उल्लेख करते हैं, जिनका पहले ही उल्लेख किया जा चुका है:
